Doug and Suzy Choate of Somerset, Ky., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Choate, to Calvin Groves, son of Joey and Margie Groves of Lexington, Ky.
Emily is a graduate of civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and is currently pursuing her masters in biosystems and agricultural engineering.
She is also employed at Stantec Consulting Services Inc. as a project engineer.
Emily is the granddaughter of Ruby and Glenn McWhorter, Albany, and Maurice Choate, Burkesville, and the late Estill Snow Choate, Albany.
Calvin is a graduate of telecommunications from the University of Kentucky and is currently pursuing his masters in telecommunications systems management from Murray.
He is employed at the University of Kentucky as a computer support specialist for the College of Agriculture.
Calvin is the grandson of Dr. Richard and Judy Drake, Berea, and the late Freddie and Vicky Groves, Cynthiana.
The couple will be married May 22, 2010, in Lexington.
