Weldon “Doc” and Judy Burton of Nancy, Ky., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mindy Machel, to Matthew Michael Preston.
Matthew is the son of Michael Preston of Harrodsburg, Ky., and Carol Wright of Zephyrhills, Fla.
Mindy is a 2001 graduate of Southwestern High School. She attended Somerset Community College and Midway College before receiving her degree in elementary education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
Mindy is employed as a preschool teacher at The Gardner School in Louisville.
Matthew is a 2002 graduate of Harrodsburg Independent High School. He attended Lexington Community College before receiving his degree in business management.
Matthew is currently employed with Auto Zone as a territory manager in the Louisville area.
The couple will wed Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Okalona Baptist Church in Nancy.
A reception will follow in the church’s education building.
Formal invitations have been sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.
