Andrew Scott Oakes and Cara Beth Boyd are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
Andrew is the son of Dorman and Patricia Oakes of Science Hill. He is the brother of Josh Oakes and the grandson of Ora and the late Carmel Keith and the late Earlin and Vonnie Oakes.
Cara is the daughter of Russell and Lisa Boyd of Science Hill, Ky. She is the sister of Brandon and Kaitlyn Boyd and the grand-daughter of Lorraine and Lawerance Petrey and the late Bob and Ellan Boyd.
Both Andrew and Cara attend East Somerset Baptist Church and both are students at Somerset Community College.
The wedding ceremony will be held at East Somerset Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m.
A reception will follow the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.
Formal invitations will not be sent.
All family and friends are welcome.
