James Cooper

obituaries


James Forrest Cooper, age 61, of Somerset passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010.

He was born June 30,1948 to Mary Simpson Cooper and the late William Forrest Cooper.

James graduated from Somerset High School in 1965, he then attended the University of Kentucky. He was an electrical engineer and certified by the EPA as an inspector. He was owner of Cooper Property Inspection and co-owner of Advance Radon Services. He also served on the Kentucky Radon Board and the Home Association Board.

James was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Somerset.

James is survived by his mother and a sister, Penny Cooper of Somerset.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory.

A Celebration honoring the life of James Forrest Cooper will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory with the Rev. Terry Reffett and Bro. Larry Nicholas officiating. Interment will be at Somerset Cemetery.

The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Luncheon Memorial Fund.

Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for James Forrest Cooper.
