Anna Decker

Anna Marie Decker, 72, a resident of Burnside, Ky. passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky.

She was born Oct. 22, 1936 at Garrard County, Ky., the daughter of the late Marvin Prewitt and Elsie Simpson Prewitt. She has lived most of her life in Burnside, Ky. after retiring as a secretary at Monarch Marking Company in Miamisburg, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of First Baptist Church in Burnside, Ky.

Survivors include her husband Hue Frank Decker of Burnside, Ky.; two sons, Michael Dale Haney and his wife Debbie, of Jackson, Georgia and Patrick George Haney and his wife Randi, of Houston, Texas; one brother, John Raub, of Tateville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Strunk, Melissa Houston, Dale Haney Jr., Chanse Haney, and Kimberly Mitchell; and five great-grandchildren, Deana Hampton, Seth Stearns, Drake Stearns, Zackary Hubbard, and Tori Bradley.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Elsie Prewitt; stepmother, Anna Altman; two daughters, Terri Gayle Houston and Jerri Ann Haney; and one brother, Robert Clay Prewitt.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Christian officiating. Musical selections include “Amazing Grace” and “Daddy's Hands.” Pianist will be Diane Begley.

A visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home, 603 Monticello Street, Somerset, Ky. Burial will be in the Bronston Cemetery in Bronston, Ky.

Anna's casket bearers will be Dale Haney, James Pruitt, Jacob Shepherd, Derek Sumner and Mike Houston.
