Dickie Meece

Dickie Wayne Meece, 45, Somerset, passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1963, in Franklin, Ind.. Dickie was a mechanic and enjoyed motorcycling, playing corn hole and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Fred (and his stepmother, Carolyn) Meece, Somerset; his mother, Phyllis Ann Luttrell Meece, Tennessee; four sons, Brandon (and his wife, Della) Meece, Burnside, Ky., Josh Meece, Somerset, Joey Meece and Tyler Meece; a daughter, Lois Ann Meece, Somerset; two brothers, Danny R. (and his wife, Rosie) Meece, Eubank, Ky., and Dennis Meece; a sister, Dana (and her husband, Tommy) Tallent, Tennessee; two stepsisters, Cathy McCoy, Florida and Teresa (and her husband, Dewayne) Clark, Shopville, Ky.; three stepbrothers, Darrel (and his wife, Janie) Scruggs, Shopville, Ky., Bodie Scruggs, Morehead, Ky., and Marty Scruggs; six grandchildren, Jo Anna Meece, Jaimee Meece, Taiylor Meece, Jazlyn Brook Meece, Julie Renee Meece and Barbara Ann Meece; and several special aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Alonzo Meece.

Visitation for Mr. Meece will be Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, after 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Daulton officiating.

Burial will follow in the King Bee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dickie Wayne Meece Memorial Fund c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
