Carroll Strunk

Carroll E. Strunk, age 62, of Burnside, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on March 11, 1946 in Tateville, Ky. to the late Everett Strunk and Elsie Reeves Strunk Bray. He was a car dealer most of his life and a member of the Potter Place Church in Somerset. He loved cars and the Lord and enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Mr. Strunk is survived by his wife, Janice Glover Strunk, whom he married in July 1987 in Monticello, Ky.; two sons, Eddie Strunk, of Campbellsville, Ky. and Tim (and Karen) Strunk, of Tateville, Ky.; two stepsons, Doug Girdler and Gary Girdler, of Somerset; a daughter, Heather Girdler, of Burnside, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Rhonda (and Lee) Hughes, of Bronston, Ky.; two brothers, Gene (and Darlene) Strunk, of Tateville, Ky. and Bro. Clyde (and Wendy) Strunk, of Somerset; three sisters, Janet (and Sam) Crabtree, of Somerset, Nancy (and Charles) Gibson, of Bronston, Ky., and Tammy (and Patrick) Ballou, of Bronston, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kegan and Cody Strunk; five step-grandchildren, Josie Hughes, Corey Gridler, Jace Girdler, Tyler Hughes, and Katlyn Gridler; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, James Everett Strunk; and a stepfather, Ray Bray.

Visitation for Mr. Strunk will be Friday, June 20 after 5 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Grave Hill Cemetery.
