Denise Brown

obituaries

Mrs. Denise Brown, the daughter of Louie Whittom and the late Hazel Mink Whittom, was born in Streator, Ill. on Jan. 20, 1956 and she departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 in Somerset, Ky. having attained the age of 53 years. 

She was united in marriage to Mr. Ernest Brown on Nov. 8, 2008, he survives. 

Other survivors include the following children and spouses: Rodney and Ashley Brown of Eubank, Ky., Robbie and RaShawna Brown of Somerset, Ky., Julie and Randy Dickey of Greenfield, Ind., Mindy Harness of Crab Orchard, Ky.; five grandchildren, Dakota Brown, Kali Bell, KayLee Brown, Kristen Dickey, and Samantha Dickey; one brother, Frank Whittom of Va., and two sisters, Linda (and Robert) Harvey and Darlene (and Vernon) Moore, all of Virginia.

Other than her mother, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Verena Whittom.

Denise was a former nurse having worked for several years in the healthcare industry and she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was active as long as her health would permit.  She was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Pace and Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family of Mrs. Denise Brown will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until after services, Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Denise Brown.
