Steven Troxell

obituaries

Steven Lewis Troxell, 21, of Somerset, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, due to a caving accident.

Born on Sept. 19, 1988, in Somerset, he was the son of Clyde and Rita Daulton Troxell. Steven loved dirt track racing and was known at the tracks as “Hump Hammer.” He loved making late models out of Popsicle sticks.

Steven is survived by his parents, Clyde and Rita Daulton Troxell of Somerset; a brother, Toby Troxell of Somerset; grandparents, Ruth Troxell of Monticello, Ky., and Lowell “Peanut” (and Genece) Daulton of Somerset; five uncles, Tim Daulton of Somerset, Michael (and Sandy) Daulton of Science Hill, Ky., Travis (and Kim) Daulton of Somerset, Randy (and Mary) Wiles of Somerset, and Allen (and Jessica) Wiles of Somerset; nine aunts, Kathey (and Bill) Irvin of Crab Orchard, Ky., Ruth Anna Troxell of Monticello, Floralice (and Larry) Coffey of Monticello, Peggy (and Larry) Holden of Monticello, Judy Thomas of Albany, Ky., Deborah Posey of Knoxville, Tenn., Lela “JoJo” (and David) Warren of Somerset, Amy (and Thomas) Madden of Somerset, and Kim (and Eric) Puckett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of cousins and friends that will mourn his passing.

Preceding him in death was his Granny, Lela Hines Daulton, and Grandpa, Clyde Troxell Sr.

Visitation will be today, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy. 80, Somerset.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Baxter officiating.

Burial will be in the Gaines Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.

Pallbearers will be Josh Moser, Mathew Daulton, Brandon Troxell, Neal Daulton, Toby Troxell, Darrell Daulton, Bobby Irvin, Austin Daulton, and Evan Daulton.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Steven Lewis Troxell Memorial Fund, c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
