Ronald A. Booth, 60, of Frankfort, Ky., passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Frankfort on Dec. 28, 1948, to Frances and Samuel Booth, Ron was a 1966 graduate of Shelby County High School and attended the University of Kentucky.

He married Dianne Duvall Booth on Jan. 3, 1969, and was drafted into the Army in 1970. Ron’s family also resided in Somerset, Ky., for 18 years.

Ron is survived by his wife, Dianne Duvall Booth, of Frankfort; a daughter, Deenah Booth, of Frankfort; a son, Chad Booth, of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, April Booth; three grandchildren, Tristen, Faithe, and Ryder Booth; two brothers-in-law Eddie Duvall of Georgetown, Ky., and Chuck Lee of Frankfort; a sister-in-law, Lisa Duvall, of Georgetown; his father and step-mother-in-law, Marvin and Marjorie Duvall, of Frankfort; two nephews; and five nieces.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Samuel Booth; a sister, Jeanette Booth Lee; a son, Wesley Broc Booth; and his mother-in-law, Louise Harrod Duvall.

Bearers will be Jeremiah Duvall, Clint Duvall, Don Scott, Stacy Burton, Steve New, and Butch Arvin.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort today, Dec. 13, and the funeral will be Monday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Thornhill Baptist Church in Frankfort
