obituaries

Glenn Lawrence Price, 92, of Old Bee Lick Road, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his home in the presence of his family.

He was born in Public, Ky., on February 15, 1917, the son of the late Samuel Bailey and Mary Jane Randolph Price. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for 50 years. He had been a member of the Woodstock Masonic Lodge for 60 years and was a director of Pulaski County Farm Bureau. Mr. Price was a retired farmer and served in the United States Army during WWII. In his later years, he enjoyed woodworking and delighted in his great grandchildren and joyrides on his golf cart.

He was united in marriage to Lena Jane Bullock on February 7, 1941 and from this union came two children. He is survived by a son, Larry (and Ann) Price of Somerset; a daughter, Linda (and Eddie) Reynolds of Crab Orchard, Ky.; two granddaughters, Melanie (and Richard) King of Science Hill, Ky. and Michelle (and Josh) Smith of Crab Orchard, Ky.; and three great grandchildren, Logan Keith, Samuel Bailey, and Grayson Corrinne Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews, who mourn his passing.

His wife preceded him death on November 27, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Bailey and Mary Jane Randolph Price; three brothers, Cecil, Randolph, and Eugene Price; and one sister, Geneva Bullock.

Visitation for Mr. Price was Monday at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Rader officiating.

Burial will be in the Bullock Cemetery in Public, Ky.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Bullock Cemetery Fund c/o Citizens Bank.

Arrangements for Glenn Lawrence Price are entrusted to Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
