Ophia Jane Todd Hendricks, 90, of Old Somerset Stanford Road in Eubank, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.

She was born in Eubank, Ky. on April 10, 1919, daughter of the late James and Pearlie Surber Todd. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.

She is survived by one son, Ronald (and Donna) Hendricks of Florence, Ky.; one daughter, Shirley (and Jim) Gooch of Science Hill; seven grandchildren, Connie (and Bob) Anderson, Kathy (and Danny) Carroll, Michael (and Gail) Gooch, Brian (and Darlene) Hendricks, Barry (and Hope) Hendricks, Shelley (and Tony) Kinmon and Lee (and Leeann) Reid; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Victor Hendricks, whom she married on May 30, 1934 and who died on Nov. 22, 1993; her parents; two sisters, Amy Lucas and Mayme Mercer; and one great-grandson, Tommy Gooch.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Carter officiating.

Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation for Ophia Jane Todd Hendricks will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to Estesburg Church of Christ.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
