Robert Lee Flynn, age 68, a resident of the Kidder Community in Pulaski County, passed away early Thursday morning, Nov. 26, 2009 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

He was born Aug. 22, 1941 at Kidder, Ky., the son of the late Jeff Flynn and Zelma Troxtell Flynn. He was raised in the Kidder Community and has lived there most of his life. He briefly lived and worked in the Chicago area before moving back to the Kidder area.

He is survived by three brothers, Herstel Flynn, Moulton, Ala., Charlie Frank Flynn, Connersville, Ind., and Jimmy Flynn, Somerset; one sister, Mary Estel Schneider, Las Vegas, Nev.; one half brother, Kenneth New, Wash.; and two half sisters, Diane Gossett, S.C., and Darlene Rodgers, Somerset.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Zelma; brother, Herman Flynn; two half brothers, Hester New and Doody New; and three half sisters, Bernice New, JoAnn New and Elizabeth Ann New.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Woodcock officiating. Burial will be in the Kidder Cemetery.

A visitation for the public will begin at 5 p.m. Friday evening at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home, 603 Monticello Street.
