Peggy J. Cundiff, 82, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1927, in Pulaski County, Ky., to the late Delmont and Emma Girdler Cundiff.

Peggy was a legal secretary, bookkeeper, and the owner of Jack and Jill Children’s Clothing. She enjoyed woodcarving and loved antiques.

Peggy is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Elder; nephews, Earnest Anderson and Tim Anderson; and special friend, Patty Marcum. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Ralph Julian Cundiff; and sisters, Maxine Cundiff Anderson and Nancy Lee Cundiff.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Somerset Cemetery with Bro. Terry Reffett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Somerset Undertaking & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
