Francis Fitch

obituaries

Francis Marion “Buddy” Fitch III., born on Jan. 11, 1963 in Lexington, Ky. to Emma Jean (Fitch) Orrock and the late Francis Marion Fitch Jr., and the brother of Steven Marion Fitch, Bill J. Coffey, and James Coffey, left this earth unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at approximately 10 a.m. in Dallas, Texas.

He was raised in Ridgefield, Conn. where he went to school and loved, enjoyed family gatherings and his dog pal, Buddy, moved to Northridge, Calif. with his family and he graduated from Cleveland High School in 1981 and moved to Dallas, Texas with his girlfriend Lisa Walters were he became a truck driver which was a long time dream of his. Buddy enjoyed life to the fullest. He believed in making his dreams come true, he was a very easy going never in a hurry for anyone or anything, he loved playing the guitar, fishing, driving, football, playing pool and loved to sing, “Rather he could or not.” He was a very kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother and brothers, Buddy is survived by his uncle David Fitch of Calif.; Aunt Carrie Carter and Aunt Gerri Fitch of Mass.; Aunt Martha, Aunt Linda, Aunt Bette Sue, Aunt Shirley, and Aunt Anna of Ky. and Uncles Roland and Randle Coffey of Ky.; three nieces, Flecia and Genva of Calif., and Myra of Ky.; one great-nephew, Muhammad; and many beloved cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lillian and Francis Fitch, and Shell and Veda Coffey; his father, Francis M. Fitch Jr.; Uncle Charles E. Fitch; and Will Ed Coffey.

The family takes comfort in knowing that they will be with Francis Marion “Buddy” again when they all meet the Lord and share in eternity.

Funeral services for Mr. Francis Marion Fitch III will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 340 E. Third St. Lexington, Ky. 40508.

Burial will follow in the Stanford-Pike Cemetery in Somerset, Ky.

The family of Mr. Fitch will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 after 9:00 a.m. at the Smith & Smith Funeral Home until time of services.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for Mr. Francis Marion Fitch III.
