Mary M. King, 80, of Danville, Ky., formerly of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at her residence.
Born on February 17, 1929 in the Delta community of Wayne County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Flora Flynn Branscum. She was a retired store clerk and a member of Parksville Knob Baptist Church.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Delbert King, whom she married on February 1, 1999 in Danville, Ky.; a son, Billy (and Faye) Casada of Collins, Ohio; two brothers, Ernest (and Zella) Branscum of Waynesburg, Ky., and Robert (and Sue) Branscum of Loraine, Ohio; a sister, Mable (and Gilbert) Keith of Waynesburg, Ky.; five grandchildren, Susan Montgomery, Michael Casada, Tamara Boyer, Scott Mitchell, and Jason Hardwick; and six great grandchildren, Alyssa Montgomery, Brandon Montgomery,
Madison Cruzado, Matthew Boyer, Kyla Mitchell, and Weston Mitchell.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Herbert and Flora Flynn Branscum; a daughter, Maxine Hardwick; a brother, Elbert Branscum; three sisters, Rosie Reily, Sara Johnson, and Jean Pikey; and two grandchildren, Timothy Casada and Jason Casada.
Visitation for Mrs. King will be Sunday, November 22 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m.
Bro. Don Branscum will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery (Kidder community) in Wayne County, Ky.
