Charlene Hornback

Charlene Hornback, 57, of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at her home.

Born on April 11, 1952 in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Charles Richard and Maxine Phillippi Hood. Mrs. Hornback was a homemaker and a member of the Heritage Hope Church of God in Somerset. She loved her children, grandchildren, and family.

Mrs. Hornback is survived by her husband, John Hornback, whom she married on January 30, 1988 in Somerset; three sons, Charles Richard Mounce, Hardy Mounce, and Larry (and Holly) Mounce, all of Somerset; three daughters, Marita (and Jesus) Gutierrez of Somerset, Sandy (and Daniel) Blevins of Eubank, Ky.; and Susan Hornback of Somerset; three brothers, James Richard (and Brenda J.) Hood, Gary L. (and Brenda) Hood, and Marcus Hood, all of Somerset; four sisters, Glenda (and Delmer) Pitman of Ferguson, Ky., Sandra Sue (and Ronnie) McCallister of Burnside, Ky., Patricia Wilson of Somerset, and Becky (and Eugene) Lowery of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Chance Mounce, Savannah Mounce, Tyler Mounce, Ashley Mounce, Catie Mounce, Ella Mounce, Kaitlyn Bell, Kelsey Bell, and Malikye Price; and a father-in-law, James Hornback of Somerset; and a special friend, Renee Jones of Somerset.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Richard and Maxine Phillippi Hood and a brother, Johnny Hood.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 22 at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating.

Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery.

The family of Charlene Hornback will receive friends at 5 p.m. today at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset.

Arrangements for Charlene Hornback are entrusted to Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
