Frank Lyle Coffey, Sr., age 67 of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Wayne County Hospital.
He was born August 9, 1942 in Monticello, Ky.; the son of the late Elijah Sherman and Dorothy (Choate) Coffey.
He married Betty Sue Crabtree who survives him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Coffey of Monticello, Ky.; one son, Frank (Christy) Coffey, Jr. of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter, Kim (and Richard) Gaskin of Somerset, Ky.; four grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Gaskin, Quinn and Griffin Coffey; two brothers, Shelby (and companion Norma) Coffey of Muncie, Ind., and Mack (and Diana) Coffey of Monticello, Ky.; two sisters, Jane (and Jack) Dickson of New Castle, Ind., and Mary (Bob) Richards of Frankfort, Ind.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Coffey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21 at 1 p.m. at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
