Donald Vaught

Donald G. Vaught, 73, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning at the emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 24, 1935 in Somerset, Ky. son of the late Ollie and Della Ruble Vaught. A Delaware, Ohio resident for most of his life, he was a country boy through and through who loved to fish and enjoyed baseball, the out-of-doors and his family, especially his grandchildren. He was retired from General Castings, where he was a mold setter for the foundry.

He is survived by sons, Rick (and Deborah) and Ron (and Diana) both of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren, Justin (and Tina) and Jeremy (and Heather) Vaught, Chuck Conkle, and Michelle and Sara Vaught; and sisters, Mildred Blevins of Science Hill and Geraldine Collins of Knoxville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Myrtle Baugh, Audra Girdler, Viola Hines, Stella Vaught, Hazel Pitman, Delores Deford and Gladys Plowman; and brothers, Olive Vaught and Curtis Vaught.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Carl Stover officiating.

Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware, Ohio.
