Coy Price

obituaries

Coy O. Price, age 87 of the Mark Welborn community, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at the Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Oct. 31, 1922 in Arrowsmith, Ill., he was the son of the late William Harve and Thelma Yadon Price. Mr. Price retired as a truck driver for the Cumberland Lumber Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Zada Estep Price, whom he married in Dec. 1945; a son, Coy Michael (and Pearl) Price of Somerset; four daughters, Jane (and Prentice) Dotson of Somerset, Jill Norfleet of Nancy, Ky., June (and Ted) McClure of Lebanon, Ohio, and Linda Lee (and Robert) Waddle of Somerset; a brother, William Harve Price Jr. of Xenia, Ohio; three sisters, Mildred (and Jim) Delk of Dayton, Ohio, Hazel Young of West Chester, Ohio, and Christine (and Arnold) Deaton of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Dana Menster, Mike Ping, Bruce Ping, Amy Cress, Scotty Cooper, and Phillip Waddle; and eight great-grandchildren, Dyllon Ping, Keely Ping, Gracie Ping, Haley Ping, Sawyer Cress, Reagan Cress, Katie Cooper, and Adam Cooper.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Nancy Massey and Ilene Roberts; and a son-in-law, Wayneth Norfleet.

Visitation for Mr. Price will be Monday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home and then on Tuesday, Nov. 10 after 10 a.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Mark Welborn Road.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bro. William Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Pleasant View Cemetery Fund.

Arrangements for Coy O. Price are entrusted to the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
