Della Joyce McKee

obituaries

Della Joyce McKee, 68 of Richmond, Ky., passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY.

Born on October 30, 1941 in Harlan, Ky., she was the daughter of Muriel Joy Howard and the late Walter L. Bergman. She was a self-employed professional caregiver and a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Jesus Name. She loved painting and was an accomplished artist, active in church functions, great cook, wonderful mother and grandmother.

Ms. McKee is survived by her five sons, Walter Blanton of Lexington, Ky, Harold "Bodean" (and Penny) Johnson of Burnside, KY, Arthur (and Debbie) Johnson of Richmond, Ky., Roger (and Ruthella) of Somerset, and Darrell (and Drucella) Johnson of Somerset; two brothers, Mark (and Teresa) Bergman of Check, Va., and Derrick Bergman of Lexington, SC; five sisters, Ann (and Bob) Burns of Lexington, Ky., Bonnie (and Charlie) Wright of Lexington, Ky., Mary June (and Jessie) Goodman of Lexington,

Ky., Jennifer Bergman of Portsmouth, Mich., and Angel (and Tom) McGoldrick of Christiansburg, Va.; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many loving riends.

Preceding her in death was her father, Walter L. Bergman; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Johnson; and a brother, Glen Maggard.

Visitation for Ms. McKee will be at 6 p.m. today at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Peggy Wagoner and Pastor David Wagoner

officiating.

Burial will be in the Blue John Cemetery in Burnside, KY.
