Marybelle Gedor Ellis, 75, of Somerset, KY., passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at her residence.

She was born December 7, 1933 to the late Fred and Alma Goerler. Marybelle enjoyed reading and having her great-granddaughter, Haley, fix her hair and do her nails. She also enjoyed having her great-grandson, Shane, read to her and talk about his football games. She loved every minute she got to spend with all of her great-grandchildren. She loved every child that came around her and she was very much loved by everyone.

Marybelle is survived by his daughter, Linda Sue (and Luther) Pruitt of Somerset, Ky.; her three sons, Arthur James (and Willia) Ellis Jr. of Xenia, Ill., Kenneth Ray (and Rosie) Ellis of Okeechobee, Fla., and Donald Wayne (and Melissa) Ellis of Okeechobee, Fla.; grandchildren Theresa Stripling, John Ellis, Brandon Ellis, William Ellis, Derrick Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Jimmy Ellis, Jill Ellis, Judy Ellis, Cody Philips, Sara Bernard, Erica Ellis, Hailey Stripling, Shane Stripling, Ethan Ellis, Carlin Ellis, Madison Ellis, Kyle Ellis, and Macin Ellis. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellen Whelpley of Okeechobee, Fla., and Leola Meyer of Texas; and her brothers, Clyde Goerler and Gilbert Goerler both of Indiana.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Arthur James Ellis.

Interment will be at Somerset Undertaking and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions may be sent to 232 Deerfield Ln., Somerset, KY 42501.

Somerset Undertaking and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
