Eugenia House Stiles, 92, mother of Pat Carpenter, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Somerset, Ky.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1916, in Carthage, Ark., and lived in Somerset for 20 years. She is the daughter of the late John and Willie Dale Archer House.
Mrs. Stiles is survived by one son, John William (and Pattie) Stiles of Heartland, Wisc.; one daughter, Pat (and Dan) Carpenter of Somerset; four grandchildren, Heather Trout of Orlando, Fla., Josh White of Jonesboro, Ark., Tara Stiles of Heartland, Wisc., and Nioka Kien of Bridgeport, Neb.; and five great-grandchildren, Preston Trout, Alyssa White, and Peyton, Brooklynn, and Jakob Kien.
Preceding her in death was her husband, John Robert Stiles; her parents, John and Willie Dale Archer House; seven brothers; and one sister.
Visitation for Mrs. Stiles will be in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 200 Vine Street, Somerset, from 5-6 p.m. today.
The visitation will be followed by a celebration of her life from 6-6:30 p.m. with Rev. Allen Brimer officiating.
She will travel to Little Rock, Ark., on Oct. 26 and will be buried alongside her husband.
