Vernon Lester Bullock, 77, of Closade Drive in Eubank, Ky., passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Rockcastle County, Ky., on April 5, 1932, son of the late Freddie Maye and Fannie Maye McClure Bullock. He was retired from the City of Lockland, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wilma Thompson Bullock of Eubank; one daughter, Patricia Ann Ferris of Eubank; three sisters, Janie Brown of Brodhead, Ky., Irene (and Arvil) McKinney of Rockcastle County, and Faye (and Paul) Burge of Science Hill, Ky.; two brothers, Ray (and Sheryl) Bullock and Dalmus (and Barbara) Bullock, both of Rockcastle County; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Lester Moore, Heather Nichole Ferris and Zachary Allen Ferris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, William and Ronnie Bullock.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. William Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Sloans Valley Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
