Dorcie Mae Lowery, 91, of the Tateville Community passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Lowery was born in Northfield, Ky., on January 6, 1918 to the late Ethridge and Flora Wallace Sears. She enjoyed flower gardening, previous Sunday School teacher of the woman's adult class at Grave Hill Baptist Church where she was a member.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by a daughter, Wilma (and Eddie) M. Super, Keno Community; a brother, Harold Edward (and Martha) Sears, Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Helen D. (and Clifton) Meece, Somerset; a grandchild, Tim Ping; three great-grandchildren, Josh Ping, Jordan Ping, Brittney Bronstrup, and a great-great-grandchild, Taylor Rose Bronstrup.

Along with her parents, Ethridge and Flora Wallace Sears she is preceded in death by her first husband, Oliver Childers; second husband, Raymond Lowery; a son, Stanley Wayne Childers; two brothers, Cleman Everett Sears, Jerry Sears and 4 sisters, Thelma Martin, Mary Dunbar, Edna Scott, and Margie Edwards.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset.

Funeral services for Dorcie Mae Lowery will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 10:00am with Bro Darry Hatfield officiating.

Interment will follow in Grave Hill Cemetery.
