Barbara L. Caster, age 63 of Science Hill, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Hazel Harvey. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for the Blue Ash Nursing Home and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. Mrs. Caster loved the outdoors, fishing, and sewing. She enjoyed her time with her husband and grandchildren.
Mrs. Caster is survived by her husband, Arthur C. Caster, whom she married on Dec. 5, 1997 in Batavia, Ohio; a son, Christopher Burress of Milford, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer Tedrick of Hagerstown, Md.; three brothers, Jerry, Otis, and Robert Harvey, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Betty Harvey of Knoxville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Lexi Wyrick, Devon Wyrick, and Bryce Burress.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters.
Visitation for Mrs. Caster will be Saturday, March 20 at 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday March 21 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bro. William Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements for Barbara L. Caster are entrusted to Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
