Dorothy Louise Rogers, 78, of Waynesburg, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Lexington, Ky.
Born on March 21, 1931, in Lincoln County, Ky., she is the daughter of the late William Claude and Peachy Terry Rogers. Dorothy was a homemaker, member of Parlor Grove Baptist Church, and retired from Cowden’s in Stanford. Dorothy was a loving mother and wonderful cook who enjoyed watching the Food Channel and canning.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester T. Reynolds Sr.; two brothers, Less and Victor Rogers; and three sisters, Catherine West, Francis Ledford and Norma Coleman.
Dorothy leaves behind her son, JR Reynolds of Somerset, Ky.; her caretaker, Sheri Musick of Lexington; two brothers, Gene and Scottie Rogers, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Freda Wall of Loveland, Ohio, and Patricia Knectley of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 12, at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mullins officiating.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
