Sherrill L. Daulton, 67, of Nancy, Ky., passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born February 9, 1944 in Pulaski County, Ky., to the late Howard Hughes and Hazel Hislope Daulton.
He married Elfreda Dalton Daulton on March 14, 1962 in Science Hill, Ky. Sherrill enjoyed woodwork and building things with his hands. He loved riding his motorcycle with his friends and brother. He also enjoyed buying, selling and trading vehicles. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
Sherrill is survived by his wife; daughter, Donna Rae Daulton-Maxwell and husband, Douglas M. Maxwell II of Nancy, Ky.; and grandchild, Austin Wray Daulton of Nancy, Ky. He is also survived by his brothers, Weylan (and Doris) Daulton of Somerset, Ky.,Walter (Rose) Daulton of Nancy, Ky., and Donovan Daulton of Lexington, Ky.; and sisters, Jonell (J.P.) Wiles of Somerset, Ky., and Lana (and Charlie) Baker of Eubank, Ky.
Visitation for Sherrill will be held Friday, February 3 after 5 p.m. at the chapel of Nancy Funeral Home.
A celebration honoring the life of Sherrill will be held Saturday, February 4 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Nancy Funeral Home with Dr. James Floyd and Bro.Reggie Tipton officiating.
Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.
The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Gideon Bible, Oak Grove Cemetery or White Oak Baptist Church.
