Carlton Stull

 Carlton Stull, 97, of Carlton Stull Lane in Kings Mountain, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at VA Medical Center-Leestown Road in Lexington. 
Born Saturday, Sept. 4, 1915 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late John Henry & Mattie Privett Stull. His loving wife is Flora Pulliam Stull of Kings Mountain, whom he wed on June 24, 1941. Carlton was a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church, a US Army WWII Veteran, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Throughout his lifetime, he worked as a farmer, fertilizer salesman, and he did well drilling. 
In addition to his wife, Carlton leaves behind two sons, Charles Stull (Mary) and Danny Stull, both of Kings Mountain; three daughters, Peggy Padgett, Doris Phelps, and Nancy Wagoner (John), all of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Raymond, and Jasper Stull; and two sisters, Dorothy Gooch and Lois Raby. 
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Pleasant Point Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Rhodus and Bro. Ed Bray officiating the service. 
Burial will follow in Pleasant Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Caswell-Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.
 Stacy L. Padgett, Shawn, Tyler, Jason E. and Bruce Stull, and Jerry Byrd will serve as active pallbearers. 
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at the church. 
Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg, is in charge of arrangements.
