Hettie Winstead

Hettie Lou Frances Winstead, 79, of Hinkle Road in Eubank, Ky., passed away Friday, August 24, 2007, at her residence.

She was born in Eubank on Jan. 21, 1928, daughter of the late Chester and Vida Estes Bishop.

She was a homemaker and a member of Eubank Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Winstead of Eubank, whom she married on Jan. 21, 1949; one son, Oris Winstead of Eubank; one brother, Charles (and Mary) Bishop of Eubank; four sisters, Hazel (and Claude) Absher and Marie Bishop, both of Eubank, Aline (and James) Cooper of Lebanon, Tenn., and Faye (and Silas) Shelton of Kennard, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price and Bro. John Baxter officiating.

Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today, August 26, at the funeral home.
