Douglas Colburn Barger, 59, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007, at his residence.
He was born in Dayton, Ky., on Nov. 8, 1947 to Colburn and Edna Barger of Somerset.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in history.
He is survived by his parents; a fiancée, Robin Burton, Somerset; two brothers, Terry Wayne (and Michelle) Barger and Timothy Russell (and Beth) Barger, both of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Fields officiating.
Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
