Eva Elizabeth Prather

Eva Elizabeth Waddle Prather, 93, of Somerset passed away on Thursday January 31, 2013 at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation.  
Elizabeth was born in the Alcalde Community of Pulaski County, the daughter of the late George Henry and Mary Ellen Neeley Waddle. Elizabeth was united in marriage on May 2,1937 at Norwood, Ky., Pulaski County to the late Rev. Howard Prather.  She was a faithful  member of Somerset Baptist Temple, she was a former Sunday School teacher at various churches where her husband was the pastor. She was an outdoor person she loved feeding the birds, raising both vegetable and flower gardens and would can the vegetables she raised. Elizabeth was an excellent cook and she loved cooking for her family and friends as well as her pastor Rev. David Carr. 
Elizabeth is survived by three children, George W. (and Anna Belle) Prather of Damascus, Ark., Tresa Cottingham (and Pharis) of Somerset and Mary Naomi Henderson of Indiana; nine Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Willard, Edward and Joe Waddle; and three sisters, Ida Perkins Waddle, Georgia Wallen, Mary Irene Payer; and two grandchldren. 
Private funeral services for Elizabeth were held on Monday February 4, 2013 at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. and Crematory with Rev. S. David Carr officiating.
Burial was in the Somerset City Cemetery.  
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideon's or Somerset Baptist Temple 93 Rainbow Terrace Drive, Somerset, Ky., 42503.
Somerset Undertaking and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
