Betty Gallagher

Somerset —  

Betty Carolyn Gallagher, 58, of Somerset, Kentucky, a saved Christian, graduated to Heaven early Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Lexington, Ky., following a brief illness. 
She was born April 22, 1954 in Somerset, Ky., to the late H. E. "Edd" and Maggie Abbott Gallagher.  She retired from the City of Somerset and was blessed with a wonderful family and friends in her lifetime.  Mrs. Gallagher enjoyed spending time with all of her friends and family and helping others. Betty is survived by her two sons, Larry (and Kim) Gallagher of Nancy, Ky., and Mike (and Julie) Gallagher of Somerset, Ky.; her four grandchildren, Karlie Gallagher (and Brent) West of Russell Springs, Ky., Jonathan Gallagher, Keller Gallagher and Jonas Gallagher; a brother, John (and Debbie) Gallagher of Somerset, Ky.; three sisters, Frances Ferguson and Edwena Dyer, both of Somerset, Ky., and Margaret (and Lonnie) King of Ferguson, Ky.; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. 
Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as a sister, Mary Ann Hyden.  
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset, Ky.  Brother Larry Butte and Brother Mike Gallagher will officiate.  
Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery.  
The family request expressions of sympathy be made to the local holiday angel tree.
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Betty Carolyn Gallagher.
