SCS Gives Back

Local News

Somerset Christian School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes group gathered on the Fountain Square Friday evening to hand out free coats and blankets to those in need of extra warmth this winter. Over 140 items, donated by the school’s parents and other churches, were available for use by the less fortunate and those hit hard by the current economy. Parent volunteers and FCA members showed up to “give back to the community, (which is) a big thing at our school,” said Stacey Hoard, one of the giveaway’s organizers. Hoard is pictured above making signs for the event.
