Local News

Motorists wishing to travel on West Ky. 1247 and on WTLO Road in Pulaski County will need to take alternate routes beginning today, July 16.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s District 8 office will be closing Ky. 1247 at its intersection with U.S. 27 due to construction. Motorists who need to access U.S. 27 from that area should use Ky. 70 instead.

Ky. 1247 will be closed to traffic at Ky. 70 and at the tie-in location. Motorists needing to access that area should use Floyd Switch/Estesburg Road.

The road is expected to be closed through Monday, July 28.

The Transportation Cabinet will also close WTLO Road to all through traffic from Patterson Branch Road to West Ky. 80.

Motorists should access Oak Hill Road from West Ky. 80 by using Patterson Branch Road.

WTLO Road is expected to be closed through tomorrow, July 17.

Construction activities are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather and other conditions.

Motorists in these areas should use caution and expect delays.
