What would you do if you lost your best friend?
Tiffany Lane and her husband were visiting family in the Mt. Vernon area over Memorial Day week-end when their beloved English Bulldog, Bentley, disappeared on Monday, May 26.
A $500 reward is being offered for his safe return, no questions asked.
“I was visiting my sister-in-law and Bentley went into a wooded area. We don’t know if he fell over a cliff or someone picked him up thinking he was abandoned. We have no children and he is like a baby to us. I’ve not slept a night since he’s been gone,” said a distraught Tiffany Lane of Morehead, Ky.
Lane has been e-mailing and calling everyone she can think of in the Mt. Vernon/Somerset area, trying to find anyone who’s seen the little bulldog.
Bentley is on the small side for a bulldog, only 40 pounds. He is white with multiple black spots, somewhat like the pattern of a Dalmatian.
“He’s very gentle and extremely friendly. Please help us find our baby!” pleaded Lane in her e-mail to Lake Cumberland Kennel Club in Somerset.
Members of Lake Cumberland Kennel Club are helping spread the word about the lost pet.
“We’re glad to help. Any of us could find ourselves in a situation like this and need help. I just so hope Bentley will be reunited with his family,” said Gloria Sams, public education coordinator for the club.
Anyone with information about the Lane’s missing bulldog should call her at either (606) 784-9755 or (606) 356-9966. Her e-mail address is:
