Wayne County couple arrested for selling obscene materials

Local News

A Monticello couple was arrested this weekend for distributing obscene material at a flea market, according to the Burnside Police Department.

Leland Poore, 38, and Rose Poore, 27, were charged with distribution of obscene matter and advertising obscene material. Both were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

On Sunday, Burnside Police received a complaint originating from Shopper’s Paradise Flea Market on S. U.S. 27.

Upon investigation, officer Jeff Casada found obscene material being openly displayed and sold to the public, including DVD and VHS recordings, magazines and assorted pictures.

The investigation is continuing.

Burnside Police want to remind the public that similar types of business and conduct will not be tolerated within the city limits.
