Arrest made for making meth

By CHRIS HARRIS, CJ Staff Writer

A Eubank man was arrested Friday on charges relating to the production of the drug methamphetamine.

Terry D. Hicks, 35, 9015 East Ky. 70, Eubank, was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth-amphetamine, a first offense.

At 11:50 a.m. Friday, detectives with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Division responded to Hicks’ address to conduct and investig-ation. Upon arrival, detectives found a strong chemical odor coming from a detached garage, consistent with the smell of meth production.

A search of the location revealed lithium battery casings, starting fluid, lye, drain opener, filters, tubing, four HCL generators — a tool used in working with the chemicals involved — and two bags containing suspected meth oil.

Hicks was taken into custody at the scene and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
