Wreck on Ky. 39
One person was flown to the UK Medical Center by Air Methods from the scene of a one-vehicle accident close to S&M; Family Service Center on Ky. 39 Saturday evening near the county line. According to the information received on the scene of the accident, which occurred at approximately 7 p.m., the truck pictured above flipped several times after striking a bank, ejecting the passenger in the vehicle. The driver appeared to have been unharmed in the accident. No information about the identities of those involved was available as of press time Saturday evening.

Ready to Roll
The new tentative date to open the northern bypass (I-66) and the western end of Ky. 914 is Friday, September 10. Two days of heavy rain about two weeks ago held up construction and scuttled a planned opening tomorrow, beginning of the Labor Day holiday.
