Dear Editor:
My name is Marsha Van Hook and I am the advocacy chair for Arc of Lake Cumberland. I am also a member of the South Central United Way and the public policy chair for Arc of Kentucky.
During the 2010 General Assembly, the Arc of Kentucky and the Arc of Lake Cumberland will continue their efforts toward ensuring a quality of life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We do this by focusing our efforts on P.E.O.P.L.E.
P – Protecting Rights
E – Encouraging inclusion
O – Optimizing Support
P – Promoting choice
L – Lifting exceptions
E – Educating communities
The last days to fill a House bill are March 1, 2010, and March 3, 2010.
As a grassroots organization, community supports is essential! Thank you for your support.
