Dear Editor:
I keep reading how all the magistrates want to do the best for their county.
Here’s a suggestion: Keep $100 weekly as your salary. This seems fair for the hours in court. Donate the balance back to the county, specifically, for the sheriff’s department to hire more deputies.
Heaven knows we need more and I’m sure Sheriff Wood would appreciate this and so would all the people in Pulaski County.
As for the time on the phone with your district’s patrons, it’s part of the job.
