An EF-0 tornado that tore a half-mile path through Ferguson early Wednesday, bringing down trees and damaging structures — and even sent a tree into a shed, pictured — has been deemed the first recorded January tornado in the coverage area for the National Weather Service in Jackson, Ky. The Jackson bureau of the NWS covers all of southeastern Kentucky.
