Several officers with Somerset Police Department and employees with Somerset Community College were on hand earlier this month when the college presented keys to a new office space to SPD. The new space should allow officers to complete their work at a more centrally-located area and allow for shorter response times. The mall substation and the SPD office at Somerset City Hall remain open. Pictured, left to right, are SPD Officer Randall Smith, SCC Operations Manager Kenneth Estep, SCC Maintenance and Operations Supervisor Johnnie Dick, SCC Chief Operations Officer Larry Abbott, SPD Major Doug Nelson, SPD Sgt. Jason Griffith, SPD Officer Scott Whitaker, and SPD Officer Brooks Barleston.
