More than 500 balloons on Friday were released at Science Hill School to end the school’s day-long “Relay Recess” event, meant to raise awareness about cancer and how to prevent it. The event, organized in honor of Science Hill students Chanissa Robinson, 14, and Kelly Melton, 7, who were diagnosed with leukemia, became one of remembrance as well after Robinson lost her battle to the disease on Feb. 17.
