The area shown is called “Twin Coves.” It is located in the Sardis community about two miles from Lee’s Ford dock. The points of land extending into the water at the upper right are off Carter Beshear’s farm. The houses at the bottom are on George Street. The photograph was taken when the lake was less than a foot above the targeted 680 mark. A decision on the level of the lake during the 2008 tourist season is expected to be made in late February.
