Woodwork by Eubank whittler Junior Phillips, at left, can be found this weekend at Don Floyd’s Sputter Creek Pay Lake on Pierce Road. Phillips has been working with wood all his life, using his own designs — never following a pattern. Phillips, who is also a Baptist preacher, is a regular patron of Floyd’s pay lake. (Floyd is on the right in the photo.) The fish in Floyd’s large pond weigh between one and nine pounds, and are great for frying. Pierce Road is just one of many potential shopping spots along the “15 Miles Plus Yard Sale” route, which spans the Nancy, Chesterview, Faubush, and Jabez areas of Pulaski County. The sale continues through today.
