The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is considering a “roller-compacted concrete dam” on the downstream side of the leaky earthen section of Wolf Creek Dam. The photograph shows the upstream side of the dam where heavy equipment is preparing a work platform to support current grouting and a planned diaphragm wall. The roller-compacted dam, if selected, would be an alternative to the wall. The earthen dam would remain to support U.S. 127 across its crest.
