anniversary

Delmer Caroll and Joanna Baugh celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, February 27, 2010.

The couple lived, worked and raised their family in Mason, Ohio.

Caroll is retired from Whiting Manufacturing Company in Blue Ash, Ohio, and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Joanna is retired from John H. Harland Company, also in Blue Ash, Ohio, and enjoys quilting and crocheting.

They both enjoy gardening and making homemade dried fried apple pies – a job that keeps them very busy working together. You may even know Joanna as the “Pie Lady.”

Upon retirement in 1991, they returned to their homestead in Eubank, Ky., in Lincoln County where they currently reside.

Caroll is the son of the late Leamon and Bannie Hodge Baugh of Eubank, Ky., and Joanna is the daughter of the late Jesse and Lora McMullin Bastin of Yosemite, Ky.

The couple was married in 1960 by the late Rev. Lloyd Keeney in Science Hill, Ky.

They have two children: Sharon (and husband, James) Moore, Columbia, Ky., and Sheila (and husband, Dan) Baker, Waynesville, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Andy (and wife, Sarah) Baker, Brittany Baker, Courtney Baker and Dustin Baker.

An open house/reception will be held in their honor Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Stanford Housing Authority’s community room, located at 100 Lacy St., Stanford, Ky. (across from Save-A-Lot) from 2 until 5 p.m.

All family and friends are invited to come at your convenience and share in their celebration.

The couple requests no gifts.
