W.D. and Mary McAfee will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 21, 2010, at The Neighborhood Assisted Living facility.

The celebration will be hosted by their children from 2 until 4 p.m.

W.D. and Mary McAfee were married on March 24, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee.

They were blessed with three children: Linda Harris of Richmond; David, (and Jacqueline) McAfee of Hardinsburg; and Beverly Manley (and Nathaniel) of Cookeville, Tenn.

They are also the proud grandparents of six grandchildren: Tanya Stevens, Tiffany Harris, Joshua Harris, Jonathon Fagan, Ryan Fagan and Andrew Manley.

The couple requests no gifts – your presence will be a gift to them.

All family and friends are invited to come and share their special day with them.

Leonard Wilson Sears was born on February 1, 1915.
Elva Bales Sears came along on May 4, 1918.
Leonard states: “It was strange that it took so long for people to get together in those times. We lived just 6 miles apart but never knew each other for several years. I met Elva on a Sunday night at Fellowship Methodist Church where we still belong and attend when we are able.”
