The Moodys celebrate 50th anniversary

Somerset — Ada Lucille Rice and Benjamin Stuart Moody were married September 20, 1961, at First United Methodist Church in Somerset with the Rev. Warner P. Davis officiating.

The couple has spent their entire marriage in Somerset where they now reside in Hillandale.

Lucille was employed as a nurse for the Palm Beach Company on Bourne Avenue.

Ben served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II as a mechanic on a bomber. In later years, Ben was employed by Ward Correll as a truck driver for Shell Oil Company, until he retired.

The couple has one daughter, Martha Ellen Pierce, and one granddaughter, Melissa Hope Pierce.

A 50th anniversary celebration was held at the home of Lennis and Doris Rice, brother of Lucille Moody.

Several guests attended.

The beautiful two-tier cake was designed by Lois Wilson.
